How do I place an order?

We want you to feel comfortable placing your order. We have several ordering options; please choose which one suits you best.
    You can use our secure online ordering system. All transactions are secure and protected.

What are my payment options?

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit or Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard);

  • Checks or Money Orders in US Dollars, Bank Transfers.

Paying by Credit Card or Debit Card

functionalfurniturenyc accepts Visa and MasterCard. On the Checkout Payment page, select “Credit Card or Debit Card” as your method of payment, then enter your Card Number, Expiration Date, and CVV Number.

While shopping in store our sales representatives will assist you.

Paying by PayPal®

On the Payment page, select “PayPal” as your method of payment. You will be redirected to PayPal’s web site to confirm the financial details of the transaction. Once you confirm your payment via PayPal, you will be redirected to to complete your order.

PayPal is a safe and easy way to make a secure online payment. It allows online shoppers to enter and store credit card and billing information in one place, thereby eliminating the need to store and update the information on multiple sites.

Paying by Check or Money Order

On the Payment page, select “Check or Direct Bank Transfer” as your payment method and then complete the Checkout process. Make sure you arrive at the Thank You page to ensure that we receive your order.

As soon as we receive your order, we’ll send you a confirmation email that includes your order number and instructions for completing your payment.

Please send us a payment confirmation email as soon as possible – we will not begin fulfilling your order until we have your payment information. Your order will be automatically canceled if we do not receive payment confirmation within 3 days.

Credit Card Security

The personal information you enter in your functionalfurniturenyc account – including your billing information – is protected using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. We use this technology to prevent your information from being viewable as it is transmitted over the internet. The encrypted data goes to a secure site where your information is stored on restricted-access computers at restricted-access sites. Order Confirmation

Shortly after you place your order, an order confirmation will be sent to let you know that we have received your order only. Please check your email in case there are problems (with payment, quantities, compatibility questions, etc.) Also check the order status link on this email. If your order is on hold, then there is something holding it up.

If you did not receive an Order Confirmation with your order number, please give us a call at (718) 349-8008. We may not have received your order. If not, you will need to re-order if possible.

Why do orders sometimes not go through?

There are several possible reasons why your order may not go through. Most likely you are using a very old version of your browser that won’t allow secure connections, in which case you should upgrade. Also you may be behind a corporate firewall that won’t allow secure connections.

Order Fulfillment

Credit Card Processing

All credit card payments are processed by functionalfurniturenyc and will be displayed on your credit card statement as such. In the event a credit card does not process for any reasons, we will, at our discretion, either void the order and notify the customer, or process the order at a later date, or process the payment in multiple smaller amounts until the item is paid in full. Items cannot be shipped until payment in full has been collected.

Billing Errors & Omissions

Any errors or omissions will be corrected and either billed or refunded to the customer as necessary. If an order is incorrect, it is the responsibility of the customer to notify us within 24 hours of our sending the order confirmation email to the customer. If the customer does not notify us within that time, the customer will be responsible for the order. If the customer does not give his/her email address, the email address is incorrect, or the customer does not receive the email for any reason, the customer waives his/her right to correct an invoice. is not responsible for any typographical or erroneous errors. The customer is responsible for providing correct shipping address. If the customer wants to change the address for any reason after the item(s) has been shipped, additional freight fees are required depending on the "ship to" location.

Sales Tax

Any item that ships to an address in New York State will be subject to an 8.875% sales tax which is applicable to the item cost and the shipping. However, functionalfurniturenyc is not responsible for individual States’ sales tax reporting laws pertaining to online purchases, so we encourage you to check your State’s regulations before you shop.

Pricing and availability

If an item’s correct price is higher than out state price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of the cancelation. After we have received your order, we will also inform you in the event that any items in your order are unavailable.

Using Promotional Codes

Customers who join our email list will become eligible for the various discounts and promotions we offer periodically. Should you receive a promotion from us via email, be sure to enter it during checkout in order to apply the discount that is being offered. Please contact us if you have any questions or need assistance with this feature. Please note, many promotional codes and coupons are limited to one per purchase.
